Pro is billed by Stripe. Cancel any time from your account (Stripe's customer portal); you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. If you ask within 14 days of a payment, we refund it in full: write to hello@tomorrowish.dev.
Pro checkout isn't open yet. Free works fully today. In your account you can ask to be told when Pro opens; nothing is charged until you choose to buy it.
When Pro ends, your switch keeps running on Free: your first contact stays, the others are kept but not sent, the next-of-kin step and the proof-of-life page turn off.
