If you run a business alone, someone should know where the keys are.
Handover Switch emails you every so often. If you stop answering, it asks someone close to you first, and only then sends your handover note to the people who need it: a partner, a client, a freelancer friend.
How it works
- Every 1 week, 2 weeks, month or 3 months, at the hour you pick, we email you a check-in. You press the button on the page it links to. Opening the email or the link never counts; only the button does.
- No press: a reminder a day later, a last reminder a day after that.
- Still nothing a day later: Pro asks one person you name, "is <you> all right?" "Yes" resets your switch and nobody else hears. "No", or no answer in 2 days, goes to the next step. (Free skips this step.)
- Your contacts each get the message you wrote: where your handover document is, who to call, what to switch off.
- If it was a false alarm, one click sends everyone a short "I'm fine" note and starts your switch again.
Away for a while? Pause it until a date. The timeline in your account shows the exact date of every step.
What it is for
Clients whose websites, domains or apps run through you. A developer account in your name. Renewals that lapse if nobody pays them. The note you write says where your handover document is and who to call. It should never contain passwords; the editor refuses anything that looks like one.
Not sure what to write? A one-page handover checklist and who can take over an App Store, Google Play, Stripe or domain account, from each platform's own rules.

Plainly
This is a small service run by Tomorrowish LLC, not a law firm or a password manager. It sends emails on a schedule; it can't guarantee delivery, and it doesn't replace a will or a proper succession plan. How it compares with deadmansswitch.net, Google's Inactive Account Manager and Death Plan Switch.
